 Why are psychic people lonely?

From a spiritual perspective, people with strong psychic sensitivity (spiritual perception) tend to experience loneliness more frequently. First, it is important to note that psychic sensitivity is not scientifically proven, and there are many who deny its existence. Still, it can be a significant factor in why highly sensitive individuals often feel isolated.

One primary reason for this loneliness is that many people hold misunderstandings about psychic sensitivity.

Even sources like Wikipedia often describe psychic sensitivity as a “special ability,” which leads many to assume it is something extraordinary or rare.

In reality, psychic sensitivity is something everyone possesses. It is the ability to sense the hearts and minds of others, including those of spirits, higher-dimensional beings, and fellow humans.

There is a belief that all human hearts are interconnected, and beyond this connection lies the spiritual world.

For example, when shaking hands with someone, you may sense a unique personal aura or atmosphere—that subtle perception of their heart is a small expression of psychic sensitivity.

The spiritual medium Hiroyuki Ehara has also stated that everyone has psychic sensitivity; the differences between individuals are simply a matter of sensitivity levels.

It should be noted that there is a difference between psychic abilities and psychic sensitivity. Psychic abilities are expressed through the use of psychic sensitivity, but having strong sensitivity does not necessarily mean that one’s psychic abilities will fully manifest.

This is one perspective to consider.

The word “spiritual” often brings to mind ghosts, and because humans possess a natural instinct for survival and a tendency to avoid death, people with strong psychic sensitivity may experience loneliness more frequently.

Regarding the brain, the left hemisphere excels at language construction, logical reasoning, calculations, and comparisons, making it oriented toward the tangible, visible world—a more analytical function.

The right hemisphere, on the other hand, excels at music, rhythm, imagery, intuition, and perceiving overall atmosphere, making it oriented toward the invisible, emotional world—a more creative function.

Ideally, balance between the two hemispheres is desirable. Humans naturally seek value, but imbalances easily arise, leading to differences in thinking and perception of value.

Many people tend to place more value on the visible, material world, while their awareness of the invisible, inner world is weaker. For those with strong psychic sensitivity, this can manifest as loneliness.

However, with the rise of the internet, individuals with psychic sensitivity can now share information and experiences online. This allows others to relate to them, reducing the degree of isolation compared to the past.

From a spiritual perspective, this is one way to understand the situation.

The loneliness experienced by those with strong psychic sensitivity can also be seen as a result of focusing inwardly on the mind. In turn, this inner focus can further strengthen their sensitivity.

Spiritually, as the saying “like attracts like” suggests, people with strong psychic sensitivity tend to gather around others with similar sensitivity.

Although not absolute, some highly sensitive individuals may carry a certain mission or purpose in life. They possess the ability to transform loneliness into a force that heightens their sense of presence, and becoming aware of their mission may be important.

Spiritual beings are often nearby, and from a spiritual perspective, people with strong sensitivity tend to attract spiritual presence around them. Viewed from a broader perspective, they may not truly be alone.
