War and Spirituality! A Time of Growth
War and Spirituality! A Time of Growth
“War” and “Spirituality” — A Time of Growth
From a spiritual perspective, we are now witnessing the beginning of a new phase of growth.
The impact of COVID-19 has led many people to wish for a return to their previous way of life.
However, the old ways were not necessarily kind to the Earth when viewed from a global perspective.
Humanity has always been evolving, and there is no end to this growth.
Consider history: the Sengoku period was a time of change, the Edo period a time of stability, the Bakumatsu a period of upheaval, the Showa era a stable period, and now we are at the start of another era of transformation.
From a spiritual perspective, the Age of Earth (Chi no Jidai) has ended, and the Age of Wind (Kaze no Jidai) has begun. The Age of Earth was generally characterized by stability, whereas the Age of Wind encourages adaptability and change.
Throughout history, humanity has often resorted to war during times of transformation. From a spiritual viewpoint, such conflicts may be seen as part of the process of collective growth.
In ancient times, people lived in extended family units. These communities gradually evolved into villages, regions, and eventually nations.
In the next era, the mixing of different ethnic groups may increase to the point that traditional notions of ethnicity could even diminish.
Amid Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, life in Japan during Golden Week appears carefree to many, as if the conflict is someone else’s problem.
It is possible that, even in Japan, circumstances could arise where war becomes a reality.
“War,” “spirituality,” and “feminine energy”
War,” Spirituality, and the Rise of Feminine Energy
From a spiritual perspective, the rise of feminine-dominant energy is increasingly influencing the Earth, and this energy can make war more likely to occur.
Spiritual teachings suggest that the overall energy of the Earth is gradually shifting from masculine-dominant energy toward feminine-dominant energy. This shift is not abrupt, like flipping a switch; it happens gradually, much like the relationship between the sun and the moon, and affects everyone regardless of gender.
The rise of feminine energy is still in its early stages. The emotional energy of young women, with its contrasting forces such as joy, anger, sorrow, and pleasure, can manifest in society as polarization, contradictions, sudden reversals of decisions, and waves of instability.
Men tend to suppress and control their emotional energy, which often makes their mind and body rigid. Women, on the other hand, tend to release and express their emotional energy outwardly, which often makes their mind and body more flexible.
Change occurs more easily when energy is flexible rather than rigid. The current era, influenced by feminine-dominant energy, marks the beginning of a time of intense societal change.
From a spiritual viewpoint, the weakening of masculine-dominant energy reduces the ability to suppress and control, while the outward expression of energy increases. This dynamic can make war more likely to occur.
A time of “war,” “spirituality,” and “soul growth”
War” and Spirituality — A Time for Soul Growth
From a spiritual perspective, the topic of war can also be seen as a time for soul growth.
As I have often discussed on this blog, the growth of knowledge comes from each individual moment of awareness. Similarly, the growth of the heart, or spiritual rank, also develops through each inner realization.
When one’s spiritual rank is high, their presence—both mentally and emotionally—strengthens. Their ability to positively influence the hearts of others increases, and the more inner awareness they possess, the broader their perspective becomes. This is not a complex concept; it simply reflects being “adult” in a spiritual sense.
Conversely, a person with a low spiritual rank has weaker inner presence. They tend to prioritize fulfilling their own desires over enriching the hearts of others, and with fewer inner realizations, their perspective becomes narrower. In a spiritual sense, this reflects being “childlike.”
In the context of war and spirituality, these individual moments of awareness are not merely existing realizations; they tend to appear as new awakenings.
What these new awakenings will reveal is not yet known, but their presence is likely to become more apparent in the future.
For example, despite many people believing it was impossible, Russia, under President Putin, invaded Ukraine. This situation can be seen as a new awakening, prompting people to realize truths they had not previously considered.
As conventional values and beliefs are challenged, cultivating awareness of these shifts may be crucial for spiritual growth.
