People Being Left Behind Spiritually: A Spiritual Perspective
From a spiritual perspective, it seems we are already beginning to see those who are being left behind by the times.
In Japan, there are still people using outdated technologies such as fax machines or floppy disks, and the topic of being “out of step with the times” often arises publicly.
Recently, two celebrities passed away, one of whom was confirmed to have died by suicide. This individual was a well-known “reaction comedian,” and in today’s society, there is increasing criticism of performances that involve physically harming oneself for entertainment. It is possible that he felt his art was no longer accepted, which may have contributed to his tragic decision.
We are living in an era of profound change, and those who remain tied to traditional values risk being left behind.
Many people have little awareness of spirituality, and some even react negatively to it. As a result, many remain unaware of the significant shifts taking place in the world.
Among such people, there may be a belief that time progresses in a straight, linear path, and that the world does not undergo substantial change compared to the past.
Spiritually speaking, however, the overall energy of the Earth is gradually shifting—from a male-dominant energy to one that favors female-dominant energy. This shift is subtle, continuous, and influences everyone, regardless of gender, signaling a transformative era that is already underway.
The Gradual Shift Toward Feminine Energy
This transformation is not like a sudden black-and-white switch. Rather, it is more like the relationship between the sun and the moon—slow, steady, and universal. It influences everyone on Earth, regardless of gender.
At this stage, the dominance of feminine energy is only in its opening chapter. Like the heart of a young girl, it carries within it emotions that are often contradictory—joy, anger, sorrow, and delight. These opposing forces easily manifest in society as polarization, contradiction, sudden policy shifts, and waves of instability.
Men tend to suppress and control their inner emotions, often becoming rigid in both body and spirit. Women, on the other hand, have a tendency to release their inner emotions outward, which makes them more flexible in mind and body. Because change flows more naturally through softness than hardness, this marks the beginning of an era of rapid transformation driven by feminine energy.
This shift has already begun. For those unaware of the rising dominance of feminine energy, the times will seem increasingly turbulent, and without awareness, they risk being left behind.
Feminine energy, being expansive and outward-facing, often reveals itself publicly. For instance, the recent sinking of a sightseeing boat in Hokkaido drew attention to the company’s president, who was criticized for greed. His worldview reflected the old paradigm of masculine-dominant values—clinging to outdated ways of thinking.
Such figures will continue to be exposed publicly, making it easier to recognize who is bound by the old, male-centered paradigm.
This energy also tends to manifest in unexpected ways. Take, for example, President Putin’s invasion of Ukraine—an event that many saw as shocking and unforeseen. In this sense, the unexpected itself becomes a defining trait of the times.
Even I cannot predict what will come next. Yet, if one is willing to embrace the unexpected, it becomes easier to adapt and remain resilient in this era of rapid change.
Eastern philosophy, particularly the yin-yang principle, teaches that the world is in constant flux. By deeply understanding this truth, one can find the strength to endure and move forward.
However, in Japan, there is a strong tendency to cling to existing knowledge and a weaker inclination toward generating new solutions. For some, this rigidity leads to stress and eventually to being left behind.
Spiritual values, by contrast, provide the perspective needed to navigate change. As more people realize this, acceptance of spirituality will naturally grow.
For my part, I continue to walk this path so that others may also find their way forward.
