About psychic abilities and spirituality
Let me talk about “spiritual sensitivity” (reikan) and “spirituality.” You might think that people with spiritual sensitivity tend to use the term “spirituality.”
In my own experience dealing with spiritual matters, I also speak about “spirituality.”
Because someone has spiritual sensitivity, it may be assumed that they can understand the values of “spirituality.” Certainly, that way of thinking may have some validity.
However, many people may consider spiritual sensitivity to be something unattainable.
This is a mistaken view. The spiritualist Hiroyuki Ehara has said that everyone possesses spiritual sensitivity, and that differences lie only in the degree of sensitivity.
Even if such things are said, if one cannot actually sense “spiritual sensitivity” (reikan), it is natural to think that one does not have it, simply because one does not know what “reikan” truly is.
In essence, spiritual sensitivity exists in everyone. Ghosts have hearts, “higher-dimensional beings” have hearts, people have hearts—it is the power to sense the heart of others.
There is also the idea that the depths of people’s hearts are all connected, and beyond that lies the spiritual world, connected to the realm of the heart.
For example, when shaking hands with someone, you may sense a unique personal aura—this is a small manifestation of spiritual sensitivity at work, the ability to feel the heart.
Many people tend to confuse “spiritual sensitivity” with “spiritual ability,” but spiritual sensitivity is like a muscle—it is the foundation that allows spiritual abilities to manifest.
About “psychic abilities” and “spirituality,” and the growth of the soul
Regarding “spiritual sensitivity” (reikan) and “spirituality,” there is the concept of “soul growth” as a part of spiritual understanding.
As discussed multiple times on this blog, the growth of knowledge consists of each individual “awareness,” and similarly, the growth of the heart—spiritual development—is also made up of each small “awareness” arising from the heart.
When one’s spiritual level is high, their existential strength in a mental sense increases, their creative ability to fulfill the hearts of others expands, and the more “awareness” one has, the broader one’s perspective becomes. This is not a difficult concept; it is essentially about becoming mentally mature.
Conversely, having a low spiritual level means weak existential strength in a mental sense. Such individuals tend to prioritize satisfying their own heart over fulfilling the hearts of others, and with fewer “awarenesses,” their perspective on things tends to be narrower. This is, in essence, being mentally “childlike.”
Although not an absolute rule, in spirituality, the concept of “soul growth” is highly valued. For people with strong spiritual sensitivity—those attuned to the heart—each awareness arising from the heart manifests, and this is expressed in their ability to speak about spirituality.
In modern society, people generally have access to food and basic needs, so there is less necessity to focus on the individual “awarenesses” that arise from suffering.
To understand spirituality, one must place a certain value on the heart. Those with low spiritual levels tend to have narrow perspectives, which can make it difficult for them to focus on the value of the heart.
A necessary discussion about “psychic abilities” and “spirituality”
Regarding “spiritual sensitivity” (reikan) and “spirituality,” there is an inevitable perspective that can be seen from a spiritual viewpoint.
In spirituality, it is said that the overall energy of the Earth is gradually shifting from “male-dominant energy” to “female-dominant energy.”
This is not a sudden, black-and-white switch-like change, but a gradual shift, like the relationship between the sun and the moon, affecting the entire Earth regardless of gender.
The “female-dominant energy” is still in its early stages. The psychological energy of young women, for example, tends to display opposing forces—joy, anger, sorrow, and pleasure—which can manifest in society as polarization, contradictions, abrupt changes in direction, or waves.
Men tend to “suppress and control” their mental energy, making both mind and body rigid, whereas women tend to “release and control” their mental energy, making both mind and body more flexible.
Change occurs more easily in flexibility than rigidity, and the era marked by “female-dominant energy” is the beginning of a “time of rapid change.”
Male-dominant energy tends to seek value in visible, material things, whereas female-dominant energy tends to seek value in the invisible heart.
In other words, in past eras dominated by male energy, there was less awareness of the heart, leading to more people with weak spiritual sensitivity and low spiritual level. This, too, can be seen from a spiritual perspective.
While not universal, it is also suggested spiritually that, with the rise of female-dominant energy, people with strong spiritual sensitivity and high spiritual levels are likely to appear more frequently in the future.
