What is a rapidly changing era? Spiritual
What does an era of rapid change mean? From a spiritual perspective, we can consider that the world is increasingly prone to situations of rapid change.
From a spiritual viewpoint, this is inevitable, and it may become even more pronounced in the future.
In Japan, for example, the era name was changed to “Reiwa.”
From a spiritual perspective, the kanji for “Reiwa” was not arbitrarily chosen by people; rather, it was a choice that reflects a necessary, spiritually meaningful process.
In Eastern philosophy, particularly the concept of yin and yang, it is believed that all events in the world are formed solely from the combination of yin and yang energies.
Yin and Yang are not tangible things called “Yin” or “Yang” themselves. Rather, they are symbols representing opposing elements—such as male and female, sun and moon, life and death, or sunny and rainy weather.
When we talk about “Yin and Yang,” it means that all events are formed solely from the combinations of these opposing forces, so in principle, all occurrences can be interpreted through this framework.
In the past, Japanese texts were written vertically, and it was thought that Yin energy tended to be heavy and downward, while Yang energy was light and upward. By mixing together, these energies were believed to create the phenomena of the world.
When Yin and Yang separate, forming what might be called “Yang-Yin,” this can lead to breakdowns or collapses, the opposite of creation.
The kanji for “Reiwa,” from this perspective, leans more toward a “Yang-Yin” configuration, meaning that disruptive or destabilizing changes are more likely to appear. One might observe that recent events indeed seem more prone to sudden or significant changes.
What is a time of rapid change? “Feminine energy,” “spirituality,” and “the feminine principle”
A period of rapid change can be seen as influenced by “feminine-dominant energy,” which, from a spiritual perspective, acts as an invisible, underlying force.
In spirituality, it is said that the overall energy quality of the Earth is gradually shifting from “male-dominant energy” to “female-dominant energy.” This is not a sudden, black-and-white switch, but a gradual change, like the relationship between the sun and the moon, affecting the entire planet regardless of gender.
The “female-dominant energy” is still in its early stages. The emotional energy of young women—expressing joy, anger, sorrow, and pleasure—tends to manifest as opposing forces, which can appear in society as polarization, contradictions, sudden policy reversals, and waves of change.
Men tend to “restrain and control” their emotional energy, which can make both mind and body rigid. Women, on the other hand, tend to “release and control” their emotional energy outwardly, making mind and body more flexible.
Change occurs more easily in the flexible than in the rigid, so the era of “female-dominant energy” marks the beginning of a time of rapid change.
From a spiritual perspective, the coronavirus is sometimes viewed as being deliberately influenced by “higher-dimensional beings” to spread among humans. The purposes are not singular: they may include restraining overly active humanity, curbing environmental destruction, or drawing the attention of people who are inattentive to their own inner consciousness.
In these rapidly changing times, the power to promote “spiritual growth” is essential.
A period of rapid change can be seen as a force that promotes “spiritual growth,” and from a spiritual perspective, this influence is becoming increasingly apparent.
“Growth of the soul,” which has been repeatedly discussed on this blog, is reflected in the development of knowledge through each individual “insight,” and similarly, the growth of the heart—referred to as the “growth of spiritual rank”—is reflected in each insight that comes from the heart.
As one’s spiritual rank rises, one’s existential strength increases in a mental sense, creative power to fulfill the hearts of others grows, and the more insights one has, the broader one’s perspective becomes. This is not a difficult concept—it is simply about becoming spiritually “mature.”
Conversely, a “low spiritual rank” indicates weaker existential strength in a mental sense. Such individuals tend to prioritize satisfying their own hearts over fulfilling the hearts of others, and with fewer insights, their perspective on things tends to be narrower. Again, this is not a difficult concept—it simply represents being spiritually “childlike.”
“Male-dominant energy” tends to place value on tangible, visible things, whereas “female-dominant energy” tends to place value on the invisible aspects of the heart.
Thus, a period of rapid change manifests as a force that encourages the growth of the heart and the advancement of one’s spiritual rank.
