The background of “slander and defamation”! From a spiritual perspective, we may be living in an era where slander and defamation are increasingly likely to occur.

From a spiritual viewpoint, this is inevitable, and the key issue is whether people gain “awareness” from it.

First, regarding a sense of existence, the psychologist Sigmund Freud proposed that whenever a person eats, sleeps, or relieves themselves, some degree of “pleasure” is experienced, and humans, as creatures who seek pleasure, are guided by what he called the “pleasure principle.”

To put it in extreme terms, one could say that “existence” = “pleasure,” and when a person feels happiness, they are likely to simultaneously experience a strong sense of existence along with strong pleasure.

Not being able to feel a sense of “existence” is not just about lacking that feeling; it also involves the interplay between the body and mind, and in such situations, “stress” can easily arise as a threat to life.

A “stress response” puts a person in a state of either attacking or fleeing from the source of the stress, and in either case, energy is required, which in turn can generate more energy in both mind and body.

In other words, the background behind “slander and defamation” is that people, seeking their own sense of existence and the associated “pleasure,” engage in slander and defamation.

Conversely, it also indicates that there are environments in one’s life where a person cannot feel their own sense of existence.

The background behind defamation and slander, “low spiritual level,” and “spirituality”

The background behind “slander and defamation,” from a “spiritual” perspective and in connection with “low spiritual rank,” can be seen as a significant factor.

In this blog, we have repeatedly discussed “soul growth.” The growth of knowledge comes from each individual “realization,” and similarly, the growth of the heart—referred to as “spiritual rank growth”—also comes from each realization that arises from the heart.

When one’s “spiritual rank” rises, their existential strength in a spiritual sense increases, their creative power to fulfill others’ hearts grows, and the more realizations they have, the broader their perspective becomes. This is not a complicated matter—it is simply about becoming spiritually “mature.”

Conversely, having a “low spiritual rank” means one’s existential strength in a spiritual sense is weak, and one tends to prioritize fulfilling their own heart over fulfilling the hearts of others. With fewer realizations, their perspective on matters becomes narrower. In this sense, they are spiritually “childlike.”

When one has a low spiritual rank, their existential strength is weak, stress appears more easily, and the energy they seek for their own sense of existence can manifest in behaviors that harm society, such as “slander and defamation,” “child abuse,” “bullying,” “moral harassment,” “monster parents,” “toxic parents,” “stalking,” and “violent crimes.”

While not universally true, Japanese education tends to place high value on individual realizations of knowledge, and parents often encourage this as well.

It is therefore unsurprising that people with low spiritual rank appear more frequently.

Furthermore, Japanese education tends to value high individual test scores, placing more emphasis on being superior to others rather than on giving “pleasure” or fulfillment to others.

As mentioned earlier, psychologist Freud explained that humans naturally seek “pleasure.” During student life, one might have felt a sense of existence through test scores, but upon entering society, there may be fewer people to acknowledge or validate them. Consequently, stress arises, making the occurrence of “slander and defamation” understandable.

In the modern era, where “slander and defamation” are more likely to occur, there may also be a perspective on this from a “spiritual” viewpoint.

The spread of the internet has provided a tool for people to release their own emotions. Social media, in particular, can even create targets out of individuals with a strong presence.

From a “spiritual” perspective, the overall energy quality of the Earth is gradually shifting from “male-dominant energy” to “female-dominant energy.”

This is not a sudden change like flipping a black-and-white switch, but a gradual shift, similar to the relationship between the sun and the moon, affecting the Earth universally, regardless of gender.

The “female-dominant energy” is still only in its early stages. The mental energy of young women can easily manifest “contradictory energies,” such as joy, anger, sorrow, and pleasure. This can lead to social phenomena such as “polarization,” “contradictions,” and “frequent changes in direction.”

Men tend to “restrain and control” their mental energy, making their mind and body more rigid, while women tend to “release and control” their mental energy outwardly, making their mind and body more flexible.

Changes are easier to occur in flexibility rather than rigidity, and this era marks the beginning of a “period of rapid change” driven by female-dominant energy.

In other words, as the restraining power of male-dominant energy weakens, individuals who cannot control themselves are more likely to appear, making “slander and defamation” more prevalent.

Furthermore, the outward-releasing force of female-dominant energy can manifest as the projection of emotions outward, and from a “spiritual” perspective, this can be seen as contributing to the occurrence of “slander and defamation.”
