“Lost Your Psychic Sense”? Its Relationship with Spiritual Rank!
From a spiritual perspective, I came across an interesting topic while receiving questions on another blog I run from people who said their “psychic sense has disappeared.”
The story of a “lost psychic sense” can be understood from a spiritual point of view.
Many people tend to think of psychic ability as something binary—either you have it or you don’t—but psychic sense is not digital; it is more analog in nature.
The psychic medium Hiroyuki Ehara has said that everyone possesses a psychic sense, and that differences only lie in sensitivity.
However, many people do not truly feel what a “psychic sense” is, and some tend to associate it with spiritual abilities, like seeing ghosts.
Even Wikipedia describes “psychic sense” as a special ability, so it is understandable that many people believe they do not have it themselves, thinking it is a unique power.
In reality, psychic sense is something everyone possesses. Ghosts have a mind, higher-dimensional beings have a mind, and humans have a mind—it is the ability to sense the heart or consciousness.
There is a concept that the depths of all human hearts are connected, and beyond that lies the spiritual world.
Psychic sense can be as simple as feeling a person’s unique presence when shaking hands with them. That is a small way in which psychic sense operates, by sensing the heart.
“My spiritual powers have disappeared,” ‘stress’ is the cause, “spiritual”
From a spiritual perspective, there are cases in which the disappearance of “psychic sense” can be observed, and stress can be a cause of this.
The psychologist Sigmund Freud proposed that even in basic activities like eating, sleeping, or relieving oneself, people experience some degree of pleasure, and that humans are creatures driven to seek pleasure—this is known as the “pleasure principle.”
To put it extremely, one could say that “sense of existence” equals “pleasure.” When one feels happiness, a strong sense of existence and a strong feeling of pleasure are experienced simultaneously.
Not feeling a sense of existence is not simply a lack of awareness; the human body and mind influence each other, and in such cases, stress may arise as a threat to life.
A “stress response” places a person in a state of either “attack” or “escape” against the source of stress. Either choice requires energy and can generate energy within the body and mind.
However, sometimes a person cannot choose either option. In such cases, like being near a dinosaur, the body’s instincts activate strongly, and the next response is an intensified “defense mechanism.”
This “defense mechanism” functions in a way similar to cautiously approaching a small stone to avoid detection by a dinosaur.
The body may feel heavy and lethargic, the voice may become weak or lacking in vitality, and one may become more prone to neglecting cleanliness. External stimuli can disturb the mind and even trigger physical reactions.
As a result, the body may work to block external stimuli, which can make the symptoms of a disappearing psychic sense more likely to appear.
“My spiritual powers have disappeared,” “It's because of my spiritual level,” “Spirituality”
From a spiritual perspective, the disappearance of “psychic sense” may also be related to a person’s level of spiritual development, or “spiritual rank.”
As discussed repeatedly in this blog, the growth of knowledge comes from each individual “realization,” and likewise, the growth of the heart—spiritual development or “spiritual rank”—also arises from each individual “realization” of the heart.
When one’s spiritual rank is high, one’s presence or influence grows in a spiritual sense, the creative power to fulfill the hearts of others increases, and the greater the number of realizations, the broader one’s perspective becomes. This is not a complicated concept—it simply describes what it means to become spiritually “mature.”
Conversely, when one’s spiritual rank is low, one’s spiritual presence is weaker, and one tends to prioritize fulfilling one’s own heart over the hearts of others. With fewer realizations, one’s perspective becomes narrower. Again, this is not a complicated concept—it simply describes being spiritually “immature.”
A low spiritual rank also makes a person more susceptible to stress, and as a result, through the activation of the “defense mechanism,” the symptoms of a disappearing psychic sense are more likely to appear. From a spiritual perspective, this is how the phenomenon can be understood.
