About illnesses that cause interpersonal relationship problems

Regarding illnesses that cause difficulties in human relationships, from a spiritual perspective, it is unclear whether it can strictly be called a “disease,” but there are conditions in which human relationships do not go smoothly.

Sometimes these situations arise due to brain-related impairments, but here I will discuss the topic from a spiritual perspective.

Regarding the left and right brain: the left brain is skilled at organizing language, performing calculations, logical reasoning, and making comparisons. It tends to excel at recognizing the visible, physical world, and functions more like the “science-oriented” side.

The right brain, on the other hand, is skilled at recognizing rhythm in music, processing images, intuition, and overall impressions. It tends to excel at sensing the invisible aspects of the heart and functions more like the “arts-oriented” side.

Ideally, a balance between the two is desirable. However, humans are creatures that seek value, and biases naturally emerge. As a result, differences in perspectives and values tend to appear in how people interpret things and form ideas.

If a person leans too much toward the left brain, they may struggle to read others’ hearts and manifest traits similar to Asperger’s syndrome, making communication difficult and causing human relationships to fail.

Conversely, if a person leans too much toward the right brain, their ability to perceive the physical world weakens. This can also hinder communication, and human relationships may break down, manifesting in ways similar to schizophrenia.

While this may not strictly be called a “disease” of failing human relationships, from a spiritual perspective, there are situations where human relationships are more likely to struggle.

Regarding the growth of the soul—something this blog has discussed repeatedly—the growth of knowledge comes from individual realizations of knowledge, and similarly, spiritual growth (reikan growth) comes from individual realizations of the heart.

When one’s spiritual growth is high, their presence and influence increase in a psychological sense, their creativity to fulfill others’ hearts strengthens, and the more realizations they have of the heart, the broader their perspective becomes. This is not a difficult concept—it is essentially about maturing spiritually.

Low spiritual growth, on the other hand, means weaker presence and influence in a psychological sense. People may prioritize fulfilling their own hearts over fulfilling others’, and with fewer realizations of the heart, their perspective tends to be narrow. This is also a simple concept—spiritually, it represents immaturity.

When spiritual growth is low, people tend to prioritize their own satisfaction over fulfilling others’ hearts. When two people with low spiritual growth interact, their ability to fulfill each other’s hearts is weak, and communication is more likely to fail.

Nowadays, with the spread of the internet, direct face-to-face conversations have decreased compared to the past. As a result, the neural development necessary for communication may be insufficient, which can also contribute to difficulties in human relationships.

Additionally, we live in an era where diversity of values is accepted. This represents a dispersion of personal values, and differences in these values can also lead to challenges in human relationships.

Spiritually, it is said that the overall energy of the Earth is gradually shifting from male-dominant energy to female-dominant energy.

Male-dominant energy tends to place value on visible, material things, whereas female-dominant energy tends to place value on the invisible aspects of the heart.

Currently, these value systems coexist. Between people bound by male-dominant energy values and those embracing the new female-dominant energy values, difficulties in human relationships are more likely to appear.
